Tomorrow's Teachers Fund

Ensuring every child in Virginia and beyond has a well-prepared, dedicated, and enthusiastic teacher.

The cost of becoming a teacher can deter even the most talented candidates or pose too much of a financial burden. To compete for prospective students who will become tomorrow’s top teachers, highly prepared to achieve excellence in the classroom and help ease the strain on our schools, we must ensure the affordability and accessibility of our exceptional teacher education programs.

Tomorrow's Teachers Fund

This fund will provide tuition assistance of up to $30,000 for students (full- or part-time) with financial need who are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in teacher education.

Funds will also be available to cover teacher licensure fees.

Tomorrow’s Teachers Fund will provide support to students in our teacher education program who begin their studies in June or August 2024.

Become a Teacher

The School of Education and Human Development's Teacher Education program is consistently ranked as one of the best in the nation. We have formal teaching degrees that lead to teacher licensure in the state of Virginia, as well as alternative routes to teacher licensure through our offerings of individual courses, course series, certificates, and other professional learning modules. Current educators can also pursue coursework that leads to recertification points as well as add-on endorsements to their existing teaching licenses.
