On-Grounds Experience

As a student living and learning on UVA's historic Grounds, you have access to both social and academic opportunities to support your success.

Imagine waking up every day in a place consistently named one of the most beautiful college campuses in America.

The University of Virginia campus - or Grounds, as it's known - is a place unlike any other. The Academical Village, the historic heart of Grounds that includes the Rotunda and the surrounding green spaces and buildings, was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

But life on Grounds is about more than beautiful spaces. It's about being embedded in the social and academic life of the University. It's about living and learning within a community that cheers you on while challenging you to be both great and good. It's home.
