Research and Practitioner Partnerships
At the heart of the thirty centers and research labs are projects where scholarship at the UVA School of Education and Human Development and partitioners partners are brought together from Charlottesville, across Virginia and around the U.S. These sustained and collaborative partnerships are an important part of addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing communities, clinics and education.

Research and Policy Partnerships
Through projects across the school, UVA EHD scholars collaborate with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s public school divisions and state agencies by listening to what questions practitioners and policymakers are asking and what problems they are working to solve. In partnership, our scholars work to connect active research to real-world challenges policymakers are working hard to solve. By working together, we hope these partnerships result in measurable, concrete outcomes.

Degree Program Partnerships
Partnerships are a cornerstone to many of our degree program offerings. Whether studying to become a teacher or athletic trainer, school counselor or speech language pathology, students at the UVA School of Education and Human Development pend time learning from partners in real-world classrooms, school and clinics.
