EHD Double Take
Double Take is a storytelling event highlighting the powerful experiences of individuals in the school community. Modeled after the University initiative, the inaugural storytelling event brought the EHD community together to listen, reflect, and celebrate the diverse experiences of faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Rec 'N' Roll
Sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology, Rec 'N' Roll is an adaptive sports field day, designed to introduce students to parasport — competitive sport for individuals with physical and visual impairments — the day offers the community opportunities to play wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair pickleball, blind soccer, and more.

The annual student-run research symposium showcases presentations of student research in education and human development.
Bettina L. Love delivers the 2023 Walter N. Ridley Distnguished Lecture
Walter N. Ridley Distinguished Annual Lecture
Walter Ridley was the first African American to graduate from the University of Virginia, with a doctorate in education from the School of Education and Human Development. This annual lecture has been created to honor his legacy at the University and his contributions to the field of education.
