Educational Technologies Office

The Educational Technologies Office (ETO) provides technology support to the school's academic and research communities. 

ETO provides the faculty, staff, and researchers with equipment, network services, software, as well as other technical recommendations and support. Additionally, through the ETO, equipment may be checked out for staff, faculty, researchers, and eligible students.

Please note that the ETO cannot assist with personal machines of faculty, staff, or students!

ETO supports technology in the following spaces:

  • Ridley 125 (SMART Board only)

  • Memorial Gym 213

All other classrooms are academic classrooms managed by UVA centrally via classroom support: [email protected] or 434-982-4586 or 25Live.

EHD faculty, staff, and students with faculty sponsorship are eligible to check out a variety of equipment. Please submit a ticket to reserve equipment. Equipment must be reserved at least 24-hours before the equipment is needed.

Please note: equipment availability may be limited and is not guaranteed until confirmed by ETO. Most equipment is only available for short-term (24-hour max) checkout. Please remember to return your equipment on time, as others may be waiting for it.

People checking out equipment should be familiar with how to operate it. Students, staff, and faculty members may schedule training sessions with ETO classroom support technicians if equipment assistance is needed. 

Students must provide their own CDs and MiniDV tapes for assigned projects that require the recording and archiving of digital video.
