Katy Zeanah

Katy Zeanah is the Degree Coordinator for the School Psychology Ed.S. program. She is a licensed psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist who has more than 20 years of experience working in K-12 schools and mental health clinics. A formerly practicing school psychologist, Zeanah teaches and supervises in the School Psychology Ed.S. and Clinical & School Psychology PhD programs at UVA. She has held leadership roles in local and state organizations and currently serves as the President-Elect of the Virginia Academy of School Psychologists.

Zeanah is committed to increasing the availability of high quality mental health services for students in schools, particularly students who are at risk for mental health concerns and those who face barriers to receiving care. Her research has focused on the training and supervision of school psychologists, school-based mental health, and social justice in educational settings.
