Biography
Christopher Hu is a doctoral candidate studying race, ethnicity, and achievement in educational contexts. His dissertation research examines ethnic collective action and cultural practice among the upper-class Chinese in the New York metropolitan area in relation to elite and selective secondary schools. He is also a research assistant for Starr Hill Pathways and the Equity Center. Prior to UVA, Hu was a high school chemistry teacher in rural Virginia.
