Biography
Before joining the Motivate Lab, Sasha Miller-Marshall served as a special education teacher at a public school in Brooklyn, NY. Miller-Marshall’s teaching career began with Teach for America, in which she devoted five years fighting educational inequity and opportunity gaps in the public school system. As a researcher, she is interested in student-teacher relationships and the impact of culturally sustaining social-emotional learning curriculums. In 2021, Miller-Marshall began her graduate studies with Professor Jason Downer.
