Lauren Simmons

Lauren Simmons professional interests focus on early childhood education, specifically working with children and educators aged birth to five. Simmons has experience as an early interventionist (both service coordinator and developmental provider), a preschool special educator, a public school preK and kindergarten teacher, in writing and developing preschool curriculum, and planning and coordinating two privately run morning preschool programs. Simmons holds dual licensure in early childhood education and early childhood special education in both VA and NC. These past experiences help her in her current position doing outreach and support to participants in the LinkB5 program.
