Kelly Garrett is the program coordinator for the Virginia Education Science Training (VEST) program. Garrett started her career as a high school English teacher and still carries a passion for K-12 education. Prior to joining UVA, she worked for 20 years as an instructional designer and technical writer. Outside of work, her favorite thing to do is travel with her family. On a normal day when that’s not possible, she can often be found cheering on her teenagers at sports events or volunteering with the treatment team at the Wildlife Center.
