Emily Warren

Biography

Emily Warren's research interests revolve around effective professional development for school mental health staff, including threat assessment, hospital to school transitions, and Project ECHO. Her clinical interests are with individuals of all ages experiencing crisis, serious mental illness, and post-traumatic stress. Warren has completed advanced clinical training in an outpatient multidisciplinary clinic, state psychiatric hospital, and public schools. She is currently working at the UVA Hospital Behavioral Medicine – Consultation Liaison program providing inpatient behavioral interventions and support. Additionally, Warren is a psychology fellow in the Blue Ridge Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND). Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., Warren completed her M.Ed. in counselor education and worked in community mental health providing prevention services, crisis and outpatient counseling, and trainings such as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Mental Health First Aid.
