Biography

Derick J. Williams, is a member of the 2016 Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) Standards Revision Committee. CACREP is a national accrediting body that ensures the proper training of master's level counselors in addiction counseling, career counseling, clinical mental health counseling, marriage, couple, and family counseling, school counseling, student affairs and college counseling, and doctoral level counselor educators, supervisors, and clinicians. Williams was selected to the committee in 2011 to write the next set of training standards and competencies that will shape and standardize the counseling profession through 2024.
