What We Do

The Applied Psycholinguistics Lab focuses on projects that can be beneficial for individuals who want to understand typical and atypical language and communication, such as augmentative and alternative communication.

Our goal is to produce materials, information, and research outcomes that can be used in educational, clinical, and other practice.

Our Work

We currently focus on three projects: (1) Identifying acoustic characteristics of speech by non-native speakers, (2) exploring the psycholinguistic processes involved in the generation of utterances using different types of language and speech-generating software, (3) the interaction between bilingual and bicultural individual processes.
