Biography

Terra Browne is particularly passionate about equipping marginalized students with the knowledge and resources needed to access, navigate, and persist in higher education. She ultimately seeks to dismantle inequities that exist in our education system and influence system change. Browne served as a director of campus support at OneGoal – Houston before joining the Motivate Lab team as the navigate project associate. Her career began through her affiliation with the College Advising Corps, in which she worked to increase the number of first-generation college-going, low-income, and underrepresented students who apply, enter, and complete college.

Browne is a first-generation college graduate. Family and community are strong values of Browne. When she is not advocating for students, you can find her researching her lineage on ancestry, cleaning up a family cemetery from the 19th century, and making memories with her husband and baby girl.
