Shelley Blakey

Shelley Blakey assists in the recruitment, orientation, and retention of Kinesiology undergraduates in addition to providing academic advising to students in their first year of the Kinesiology program. Blakey brings expertise in developing service-learning curricula; providing undergraduate advising; creating programming for undergraduate healthcare professions students; and building relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community healthcare partners. She specializes in promoting healthcare professions to undergraduate and high school students. With a background in athletic training, she also brings over 23 years of clinical healthcare experience. Blakey strives to create an enjoyable and unique first-year Kinesiology experience and to deliver extracurricular professional development for all Kinesiology undergraduates. She is most enthusiastic about helping students succeed academically, personally, and professionally.
