Biography

Renée de Kruif provides data management support for a team of faculty, students and staff conducting research on impacts of implementing the Active Playful Learning (APL) intervention.

De Kruif has been interested in optimizing the quality of early childhood and elementary school education since she started working as a teacher in the Netherlands. She taught Kindergarten and first grade before going back to school to get advanced degrees in educational psychology. She has extensive experience as a researcher on large-scale evaluation and practice-based professional development efforts in child care centers and elementary schools in the Netherlands, Aruba and the US.
