Nathan (Nate) Welker is a second-year doctoral student. His research interests are in preparing pre-service and in-service special education teachers to support students with disabilities in mathematics. Welker also has an interest in creating mathematics interventions at the secondary level for students with disabilities. Currently, Welker is being advised by Michael Kennedy and is a part of Kennedy's STORMED research lab. Here, Welker is using multi-media-based interventions to support teachers regarding the use of evidence-based practices in their classrooms.
