Biography

Lilian Hummer supports the research and evaluation of the STREAMin3 initiative at the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL). She collaborates across Early Childhood Education initiatives at CASTL to analyze how STREAMin3’s fostering of integrated, intentional interactions between teachers and children may promote children’s academic, social, and emotional development. 

Prior to working at the University of Virginia, she served as an assistant research scientist at the Center for Open Science in Charlottesville, VA. Her professional research experience includes K-12 STEM education, replicability in research, and best research practices within the social sciences.
