Jenifer Davis

Jenifer Davis works directly with the Virginia Kindergarten Readiness Program (VKRP) statewide initiative as the VKRP project manager/research specialist. Davis oversees the day-to-day project management pieces of the VKRP statewide initiative and assists in the planning of future VKRP development.

Prior to beginning her work with CASTL, Davis was a classroom teacher, focused mainly on the primary grade levels before assuming administrative and leadership roles in Virginia school divisions as both a literacy coach and a division-level English preK-12 coordinator. Her prior professional experience involved the coordination of curriculum and assessments, overseeing grant funding and implementation, leading collaborative teams, and data disaggregation at the global and granular levels. Additionally, Davis has taught courses for the University of Virginia as an adjunct faculty member in literacy and is also a preK CLASS expert coder for Teachstone.
