Biography

Golda Barrow is the project manager for Project ENGAGE, a U.S. Department of Education funded project that aims to implement and scale the Cultivating Awareness and Resilience in Education (CARE) professional learning program, a mindfulness-based emotion skills psychoeducational program for teachers. Barrow provides project management support for coordinating Project ENGAGE team members and resources to meet the project goals.

Prior to this role, Barrow worked as a project manager at the University of Virginia Biocomplexity Institute for projects focused on epidemiological modeling. She earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania; her doctoral work focused on the structure-function relationship of terpene cyclases. Although now working on the administrative side of academic research, she still considers herself to be a researcher at heart.

A Charlottesville native, she is also a UVA alumna and loves to cheer for the Hoos at home football games.
