Christina Taylor

Christina Taylor is the Project Director of the Special Education Research Accelerator (SERA), a national initiative designed to strengthen the evidence base in special education through crowdsourced research and systematic replication. She leads multi-site studies aimed at improving outcomes for students with disabilities and collaborates with a nationwide network of researchers to support rigorous, inclusive, and policy-relevant inquiry.

In this role, Taylor builds research infrastructure, oversees complex project coordination, and supports data quality and transparency efforts to enhance the generalizability of special education research. She is affiliated with EdPolicyWorks at the University of Virginia, where she has supported projects focused on early childhood policy, preservice teacher preparation, and research methodology.

Before joining UVA, Taylor spent over four years as a program and research associate at a nonprofit bereavement organization serving children who had experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. There, she developed evaluation systems and used data to inform program development, partnerships, and outreach.
