Ang Blanchette

Ang Blanchette, is an education and outreach manager at the Virginia Literacy Partnerships (VLP). She is a former elementary school teacher, literacy specialist, tutor, clinic supervisor, consultant, curriculum developer, and most recently was a professor at Longwood University. Her passion is helping those who experience difficulty with reading to turn things around. She is currently enamored with all there is to learn from the contributions to education from neuroscience. Blanchette is devoted to translating knowledge from literacy research into best practices through curriculum design, professional development, and coaching. Her specific interests include early literacy and intervention, assessment, dyslexia and word knowledge.​
