Workshop Details

This seminar will describe recommendations and specific steps to help researchers conducting impact studies develop, plan, and report findings from implementation research to further contribute to the evidence base to improve student outcomes. The seminar will also include some time for small-group discussion on topics in Sections II and III of the guide.

In this 90-minute learning seminar, Carolyn J. Hill, co-author of a new guide from the Institute of Education Sciences (https://ies.ed.gov/ncee/pubs/2023005/index.asp), will offer guidance on conducting implementation research as part of high-quality impact studies of education interventions. The seminar will describe recommendations and specific steps to help researchers conducting impact studies develop, plan, and report findings from implementation research to further contribute to the evidence base to improve student outcomes. The seminar will include some time for small-group discussion.

Speaker Bio

Carolyn J. Hill, Ph.D. joined Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation (MDRC) in 2014 and is currently working on the Head Start Connects study and the Guilford Readiness of Children for School (ROCS) Study. Hill is the co-author of a new guide from the Institute of Education Sciences, which offers guidance on conducting implementation research as part of high-quality impact studies of education interventions.
