Dick Abidin joined the Foundation Board in 2012.
Abidin is an emeritus faculty member of the School and a noted psychologist who has devoted much of his career to studying the relationships between parents and children. He is a fellow of the American Board of Professional Psychologists, the American Psychological Association, the American Association for Applied and Preventive Psychology, and the Academy of Clinical Psychology. He has been active with the Education Foundation since its founding.
He resides in Charlottesville.
