Rajiva Seneviratne

In this role Raj Seneviratne is responsible for the administration of faculty processes including promotion and tenure reviews, faculty annual reports, annual faculty elections, and faculty awards. As a member of the Dean’s Office staff, Seneviratne also supports special projects and initiatives.

Seneviratne has been with the University since 2006. He has held roles in Human Resources and from 2008–2017, Seneviratne served as assistant to the vice provost for administration at the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. In 2018, he returned to UVA HR as the Manager of Employee Relations. During his time in HR and in the Provost's Office, Seneviratne also trained new UVA managers on fair employment law and served as a Title IX hearing panelist for the Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights. Prior to his career at the University, Seneviratne worked for ten years as a legal analyst and publisher at Lexis Nexis.
