Biography
Dr. Margaret Halinski is board certified in audiology by the American Board of Audiology, and she treats clients in the Sheila C. Johnson Center for Clinical Services. She also teaches several classes in audiology and aural rehabilitation. Dr. Halinski has developed a hearing conservation program for musicians and has presented at international conferences across the country.
Additional audiology interests include newborn hearing diagnostic testing and helping clients achieve their full hearing potential using hearing aids. Her doctoral capstone project was on “Cochlear Inhibition in Musicians and Non-musicians” for which she received the 2014 SIRCA award from the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In addition, Dr. Halinski plays saxophone, clarinet, and flute and has performed for many theaters and churches in the Chicago and New York areas as well as playing for the Chicago Bulls.
