Biography

Emily Fuhrmann moved to the Charlottesville area after earning her bachelor’s degree. She is currently a research specialist with the Supporting Transformative Autism Research (STAR) initiative. Fuhrmann was involved in many research projects throughout her undergraduate education. Most notably, she conducted behavioral research of non-human primates during her last two years of school. Fuhrmann previously worked as a psychological technician for a private mental health practice. In this role, she facilitated testing and diagnostic reports. Fuhrmann’s research interests include early diagnostic testing of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and improvement of outcomes in adults with neurodevelopmental differences.
