Deiby Mayaris Cubides Mateus

Deiby Mayaris Cubides Mateus' focus is on the effects of parenting on young children’s cognitive and socioemotional development. In her research, she mainly uses quantitative methods, and a comprehensive perspective that addresses the development of children as the result of experiences and resources available in the multiple contexts children are embedded (i.e., families, schools, neighborhoods, etc.). She currently supports data collection processes and analysis for research projects in partnership with the Maryland and Virginia Departments of Education. Prior to receiving her Ph.D., she worked at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C.
