Dr. Velma McBride Murry is the Lois Autrey Betts Endowed Chair in Education and Human Development and University Distinguished Professor at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. Dr. McBride Murry’s overarching goal is to disseminate her evidence-based preventive intervention programs for uptake in community-based organizations, as well as schools and primary health care settings and in faith-based organizations, and examine their efficacy and effectiveness in real-world settings.

EHD doctoral students are invited to join Dr. McBride Murry for a small group discussion after the presentation from 12:30-1:15. Doctoral students who wish to have lunch must RSVP by October 22 here.
