Biography

Toni Bennett’s higher education experience includes two decades of work in marketing, recruitment, and enrollment management services, specializing in technology-based curricula. She comes to UVA from Spartanburg Methodist College, where she served as the associate provost for academic affairs and was responsible for developing the college-wide strategy for delivering high-quality online courses and degrees to both traditional and lifelong learners. Previously, Bennett served as chair of the graduate business programs and assistant professor of marketing at Lincoln Memorial University. Before her tenure at LMU, Bennett served as dean of the College of Adult Professional Studies at Christian Brothers University, where she led the recruitment, retention, academic, and marketing efforts for the institution’s adult undergraduate programs. 

In the private sector, Bennett facilitated corporate training for organizations by developing and presenting workshops on topics such as emotional intelligence, strength-based leadership, and ideal team player. Before entering the higher education sector, Bennett also founded and operated a digital graphics company, Odyssey, focusing on marketing solutions for small and startup businesses in the Southeast region.
