Biography
Emily Sherrod is a doctoral student in the communication sciences and disorders program. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Sherrod worked as a speech-language pathologist specializing in the care of children with cleft palate and craniofacial differences.
Sherrod currently serves as a research assistant and lab manager for the Imaging and Communication Outcomes (iCO) Lab under the mentorship of Kazlin Mason. Her primary research interests include clinical translation of advanced imaging methodologies for improving speech and surgical outcomes for patients with velopharyngeal dysfunction.
