Nate Hixson

For more than a decade, Nate Hixson has served as a manager of evaluation and research programs for public and private sector K-12 and higher education organizations. In this role, he successfully applies management and administrative practices to help guide the scientific research process and assists clients and stakeholders to solve complex educational challenges and address diverse information needs.

His areas of expertise include opportunity identification/capture, technical proposal and budget development, project/grant management, fiscal oversight, and staff supervision. Hixson also brings a unique understanding of research design, instrument development, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.

Having previously served as a senior manager at a large educational consulting company and in a leadership role at a state education agency, he possesses practical experience working alongside education practitioners and policymakers to provide technical assistance and conduct systematic research and evaluation.

Hixson currently resides in Crozet, VA with his wife and son.
