Janaria Lickey

Janaria is a Speech Communication Disorders major from Hampton, VA.

My experience in the Education School has been incredibly fulfilling. Each course is thoughtfully crafted and taught by professors who genuinely care about your well-being. I love how tight-knit the Education School community is. No matter where you turn, you're always greeted with warm welcomes and are surrounded by people devoted to making a difference on Grounds and beyond.

Outside of the Education School, I am a member of My Sister's Keeper and a House Manager at Old Cabell Hall. I love baking, spending time with my friends, and doing absolutely anything with my dog!

After graduation, I plan to pursue a master's degree in speech-language pathology which will allow me to becoming a practicing speech-language pathologist. I hope to work in a K-12 setting and l'm eager to make a difference in the lives of my students!
