Saturday Enrichment Program Application Process


The deadline for completed applications is September 11, 2020, although late applications will be considered if spaces remain open. Acceptance decision and course assignments will be posted on your child's account on or before September 18, 2020.  We will send an e-mail to you when those decisions are posted. Applications received after the deadline will be considered if there are open spots.

Create Family Account.

If anyone in your family attended SEP in recent years, you already have an account. Please sign in using your primary e-mail address and the password you established, or request a password recovery (link found on the login screen.) If a member of your family has not attended SEP recently, you will need to create a new Family Account. Once you have created the account, you can sign in at any time under “Family Sign In.” Please provide an e-mail address which we can use to communicate with the parent or guardian of the child or children who will be applying to SEP. Establish a password. Please make a note of this password, and the primary e-mail address you submitted so that you will be able to access this account whenever you need to. After you have created the Family Account, you will have the opportunity to add one or more children to this account.

Family Demographics.

Add the parents' or guardians’ names and address to the next screen. With this new program, you will only need to type this information once. As you add children to your account, you will not have to retype any demographic information. You will be able to edit demographic information later if you either made a mistake or you have a change of address or phone numbers/e-mail addresses.

Add One or More Children.

Add one child at a time, with their name, nickname if they have one, their date of birth, and gender. Especially important if the child's parents or guardians live in two separate addresses, please Indicate which address is the child’s primary home address for purposes of this application.

Family Home.

This page will list the children you have added to your account, and you can continue to add children from this page by clicking “Add Child.” When the child’s name has been added, click on the program that the child is applying to. We have two programs: Saturday and Summer. Chose Saturday, and you’ll be taken to the “Saturday Student Home” page.

Teacher Recommendation.

The Teacher Recommendation is waived for the Fall 2020 program. It will be required if we are able to offer the Saturday Enrichment Program for Grades K-5 in January and February 2021.

In many cases, your child’s teacher is the one who suggested that you consider SEP for your child. If this is the case, they already know about the program and you can simply type their name and e-mail address into our online form and we will take care of contacting them for the recommendation. If not, it is a good idea to speak to the teacher in advance to ask if they are willing to provide the recommendation and to verify their correct/preferred e-mail address. Once they have agreed, you can enter their name and e-mail address into the online form and we will contact them for the recommendation. Please request ONLY ONE RECOMMENDATION. The system cannot accept more than one. Subsequent teachers will get an error message if they attempt to provide a recommendation.


Open the Application itself. It will ask:

  • The name of the child’s school (please use the full name of the school)

  • The grade the child is currently in.

  • Not applicable for Fall 2020 Program.  Medical conditions your child may have that we should know about, such as asthma.

  • Not applicable for Fall 2020 Program.  Allergies that your child may have that we should know about, such as peanut allergy.

  • Not applicable for Fall 2020 Program.  Indicate whether or not your child’s immunizations are up to date.

  • Indicate whether your child qualifies for free or reduced price lunch through their school. This information is used to make decisions about financial aid.

  • Not applicable for Fall 2020 Program.  Only one session will be offered.  (Choose between the early session (9:00 am - 11:00 am) or the late session (11:30 am - 1:30 pm.)  Once you have selected the grade and time slot, the course titles for that grade level will appear on the page.)

  • Rank the courses offered according to how interested your child would be in that course. We try to place each child in their first or second choice of class. However, if certain courses are popular, or if we have to cancel a course for any reason, we may offer them admission to a class that is not their first or second choice. You will have the opportunity to accept or decline the offer, or request to be on a waiting list for the first or second choice class. Leave the words 'Not Interested' next to any course you would not be willing to send your child to. This will let us know not to offer your child a space in this course under any circumstance.

  • The descriptions of the courses are listed in the application: (Courses for 2020 will be available in early September)

  • Fill out the short questionnaire about this child. Please draw upon your knowledge of your child and determine the degree to which you agree or disagree with the statements in that section

  • You can save the Application page at anytime, and come back to it later, after the student has completed decided which classes they want to take. When the entire application is complete, press the SUBMIT APPLICATION button. You will no longer have access to the application to make any changes, but you can update your address and phone number at any time.
