3 Cavs: Psychosocial Factors, Food Environment, and Kidney-Related Safety of the Ketogenic Diet Among Generation X and Millennials
What We Do
Faculty from the nephrology, architecture, and kinesiology department at UVA are working together to determine the motivation for Millennials and members of the Gen X generation to “eat keto” and the effects of consuming a ketogenic diet on metabolic and kidney health.
The psychometric portion of the study is community based and the clinical trial (feeding study) is conducted in the DAN lab. We design two week long keto diets and prepare, measure, and interpret all results.
