EdPolicyWorks Programming

EdPolicyWorks offers several types of programming. For students interested in diving deeper into education policy, the center offers the Ed Policy Explorers program. The EPW Speaker Series is the center's longstanding offering for students, faculty and staff.

EPW Speaker Series

Thanks to generous funding from the Bankard Fund for Political Economy, EdPolicyWorks proudly hosts the EPW Speaker Series, bringing education policy experts from across the country to UVA to share some of their work with our students, faculty, and staff.

These events are free and open to the public and parking is available at the Central Grounds Parking Garage

Ed Policy Explorers

The Ed Policy Explorers program is designed specifically for M.P.P. students at UVA's Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.

Students who are interested in education policy topics, would like to connect with EdPolicyWorks faculty members, and who would like to learn more about careers in ed policy are invited to apply.

As an Ed Policy Explorer, students will:

  • Meet other students with shared ed policy interests
  • Attend kick-off and end of year events
  • Attend Coffee & Convos with EdPolicyWorks faculty, three times during the academic year
  • Receive invitations to education policy talks, events and workshops at UVA.
