  • Assistant Professor Siddhartha Angadi received a grant from the UVA Cancer Prevention and Population Health Program for A Feasibility Study to Examine Two Remotely-Monitored Exercise Interventions on Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Cardiotoxic Chemotherapies.
  • Professor Glen L. Bull received a grant from University of Colorado/NSF for Collaborative Research: Introducing High School Students to Computational Thinking in Industrial Automation.
  • Professor Michael Higgins and Assistant Professor Erin Moore received a 4-VA grant for AT JEDI: Increasing Retention and Academic Performance of Marginalized Athletic Training Students Through a Mentoring Program.
  • Associate Professor Diane M. Hoffman received a grant from the Kellogg Foundation for Improving Educational Outcomes in Les Cayes, Haiti.
  • Professor Micah Mazurek received a grant for Role-Playing Game-Based Social Skills Intervention for Autistic Adolescents: A Pilot Study from the Organization for Autism Research.
  • Assistant Professor Amanda Nguyen won a 2022 Translation Science Award and received a grant to support her work with Cambodian community mental health.
  • Assistant Professor Jim Soland received a National Science Foundation grant for Understanding How Approaches to Calibrating and Scoring Survey Item Responses Affect Results from Growth Mixture Models.
  • Professor Emily Solari received a Virginia Department of Education grant for PALS PreK 2022-23.
  • Professor William Therrien received an National Science Foundation grant for Science Education Instruction for Elementary Students with Learning Disabilities. Therrien will be working with School of Education and Human Development colleagues Professor Bryan Cook, Associate Professor Jennie Chiu, Professor Michael Kennedy and Associate Professor Vivian Wong, with support from Christina Taylor, program coordinator.
  • Professor Amanda Williford received funding for the Virginia Kindergarten Readiness Project (VKRP) Child Behavior Rating Scale (CBRS) DC Partnership Project from the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education.
