Margie Halinski heashot

Margaret Halinski

Dr. Margaret Halinski is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Services. She is board certified in audiology by the American Board of Audiology, and she treats clients in the Sheila C. Johnson Center for Clinical Services. She also teaches several classes in audiology and aural rehabilitation. Additional audiology interests include newborn hearing diagnostic testing and helping clients achieve their full hearing potential using hearing aids.

Tanya Evans

Tanya Evans

Tanya Evans is an associate professor in the department of Education Leadership, Foundations and Policy. Previously a research assistant professor, Evans is a developmental cognitive neuroscientist interested in how children’s brains develop to acquire the skills necessary for success in the classroom, how this acquisition goes awry in those with learning difficulties, and what can be done to successfully remediate these skills in struggling students. Her research employs neuroscience methodology to examine how individual differences relate to brain architecture and function, with the overarching goal of leveraging this knowledge to inform educational practice.

Olivia Fudge Coleman

Olivia Fudge Coleman

Olivia Fudge Coleman is a research assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Previously a member of the research staff at EHD, Coleman began her educational career as a teacher of middle school students with significant cognitive disabilities and then as a teacher of third-grade students with and without disabilities. Her research has focused on understanding the current state of educational programs and practices for students with significant cognitive disabilities and promoting and developing inclusive, evidence-based practices for this population of students.
