Joey has been with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad (C-ARS) as an EMT since the spring of 2016. It is their mission to provide quality emergency medical care to the residents of the city and the county. As an active member, Joey is required to run one 13-hour night shift per week and one 24-hour shift every sixth week. He has been involved in the training and supervision of new EMTs during their clinical release program and has previous service as a crew captain. Currently, Joey is serving as a member of the board of directors and the agency’s treasurer. Joey says taking on a clinical role with C-ARS has been a rewarding challenge and he is so thankful to have the opportunity to serve his community in this way.
