The Dean's Office team is dedicated to supporting the School's faculty, staff, and students by providing quality administrative, event, and operational services. The team is committed to the EHD mission and community, exemplifying respect for all, excellence in service, and stewardship of financial and physical resources.

Building services and operational supports provided by the Dean's Office:​

Building Information


The School of Education and Human Development occupies space on and off Grounds in the following locations. Typical operating hours are listed below. Note that building hours may change due to University holidays and other such closings. ​

  • Service Requests

    Faculty and staff may use our online request form, call 434-924-3332, or email [email protected] for the following services:​

    • Reporting maintenance issues​
    • Requesting electronic access to buildings and labs for personnel​
    • Requesting installations and other carpentry services (i.e. painting, white board installation, etc)*​
    • Non-routine housekeeping services*​
    • Moving and surplus of furnishings*​

         *Services are billable to the school, department, or center

  • Mail Services

    Mail services for the school is coordinated by the Dean's Office. UVA mail services personnel generally pickup and drop off between 10am and Noon, M-F. The timing of UPS and FedEx deliveries varies. Mail is sorted by department in our mail room and picked up by department and center personnel for further distribution within the unit. When a package arrives, an email will be sent to the recipient asking him/her to pick up in the Dean's Office though we will facilitate delivery to offices as well.

    Outgoing USPS mail should have a PTAO card attached and may be brought to the Dean's Office for pick-up. For additional information visit the UVA mail services instructions for outgoing USPS mail

    All incoming and outgoing USPS mail requires the PO Box be listed (not the physical address). Department PO Box information is available on the Mail Services website and PO Box information for individuals can be found in the work contact section of Workday. Packages (from any delivery service) should include the physical and PO Box.

    Please note that mail services is closed and will not make deliveries when the University modifies operations due to weather. 

  • Classrooms

    Classrooms are managed by the University's Information Technology Services, Classroom Support division. For support with access or technology issues in these spaces, please call Classroom Support at 434-982-4586 or email [email protected]

  • Operations Calendar

    The Dean's Office maintains an operational calendar for use by faculty and staff which highlights school-wide events, faculty meetings, University holidays, and important UREG dates. If you need support accessing this resource, please use our online guide or call 434-243-4326. 

  • Meeting Rooms

    If you need to book meeting space, you may do so through the Dean's Office by completing the event request form or calling the Dean's Office at 434-924-3332. More information about event services and available meeting spaces may be found on the events services webpage.
