IT Support - Educational Technologies Office (ETO)


The Educational Technologies Office (ETO) provides technology support to the academic and research endeavors of the School of Education and Human Development. It also provides the School of Education and Human Development faculty, staff and researchers with equipment, network services, software, as well as other technical recommendations and support. Additionally, through the ETO, equipment may be checked out for School of Education and Human Development staff, faculty, researchers and eligible students. Located in 121 Ridley Hall, the ETO is part of the Dean’s Office.

How to get help:

For general technology assistance/questions, or for urgent requests, please call the ETO Help Desk at 924-7086.

For all other needs:

Please note that the ETO cannot assist with personal machines of faculty, staff, or students!

The ETO also supports all the School of Education and Human Development Conference spaces including the LDC (Ridley 302) and Holloway Hall (Bavaro 116).

    The ETO maintains and supports the Following School of Education and Human Development Labs and Classrooms:

    • Ridley 125 (SMART Board Only)
    • Ridley 202, 237
    • Memorial Gym 211, 213

    For assistance in a School of Education and Human Development managed lab or classroom or for questions about classroom usage or checkout equipment, please call ETO hotline at 924-7086 or email [email protected].

    All other classrooms located in Ridley Hall are Academic Classrooms.

    School of Education and Human Development faculty, staff, and students with faculty sponsorship are eligible to check out a variety of equipment.

    Please coordinate with the ETO if you need to check out equipment. This can be done through email at [email protected]

    Please note: equipment availability may be limited and is not guaranteed until confirmed by the ETO. Most equipment is only available for short term (24 Hr max) check out. Please remember to return your equipment on time, as others may be waiting for it.

    Equipment must be reserved at least 24 hours before the equipment is needed.

    Persons checking out equipment should be familiar with how to operate it. (Students, staff, and faculty members can schedule training sessions with ETO classroom support technicians, if equipment assistance is needed. Stop by 121 Ridley Hall to schedule.)

    Students must provide their own CDs and MiniDV tapes for assigned projects that require the recording and archiving of digital video.
