If you’ve received a Notice of Award, congratulations! Now you have to do the work. One of your first questions might be “Who does what?” The University’s Office of Sponsored Programs has defined in broad terms the roles and responsibilities of the various entities engaged in the research enterprise.

If you are a new PI at the School of Education and Human Development, please schedule a meeting with us to talk specifically about these issues. We can help you determine who in your department or in our office will be helping you with purchasing, hiring, reconciling your grant account, etc. Even if you are a veteran PI, you should meet with us. As the School of Education and Human Development’s research portfolio continues to expand, staff assignments may be adjusted to ensure that all of our funded projects are managed as efficiently as possible.
