Nudging Students to Make Informed Student Loan Borrowing Decisions
Project Title: Nudging Students to Make Informed Student Loan Borrowing Decisions
Project Description: In partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County, we are sending new loan applicants text messages that provide simplified information about the loan origination process and that offer one-on-one loan counseling from a financial aid counselor. The texting campaign, which we are evaluating through a randomized controlled trial, will run from December 2014 to November 2015, with preliminary results available in early 2016.
