Dr. Josefina Bañales (she/ella) will be giving a Youth-Nex talk on Friday September 29th at 11 AM entitled "The Importance of Youth Critical Racial Consciousness for Youth, Communities, & Societies." Bagels & coffee will be provided!
In this talk, Dr. Bañales will discuss the nature of white supremacy and how it remains a pressing social issue. She will highlight how youths’ development of a critical racial consciousness is one antidote to challenging white supremacy, and how youth participatory action research may be used to facilitate youths’ critical racial consciousness.
