Higher education has received a lot of public attention lately. Whether related to “divisive content,” DEI, student protests, or some other topic that is used to stoke controversy, faculty find themselves in a situation where they must wade through the murky waters of how best to respond to this heightened moment when doing their job. With a significant national election looming, this may become even more challenging. Teaching During Periods of Political Turmoil is a workshop that can help. Please join us for a discussion that will sort fact from fiction when thinking about the current politically charged moment and provide strategies and tools for managing a classroom and your personal political commitments when teaching.
