Are you a professional educator interested in deepening your skills, broadening your knowledge base, and pursuing new roles within special education? The M.Ed. in special education program is 100% online and asynchronous. Participants may choose an area of emphasis in:
- Special Education General Curriculum - Meets the requirements to add an endorsement in Special Education General Curriculum K-6, 6-8 or 6-12 in Virginia. Please see the coursework tab for add-on endorsement eligibility requirements
- Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA) - Includes a verified course sequence required to sit for the BCBA examination
- Special Education Leadership - Utilizes the Council for Exceptional Children’s Advanced Preparation Standards to prepare educators for special education leadership roles across settings
