Autism Works-in-Progress: Improving Problem Solving and Probabilistic Reasoning for Secondary Students with ASD
Stephanie Morano will present this study tested an intervention designed to improve probability problem solving for high school students with ‘high functioning’ ASD. Problem-solving sessions incorporated cognitive and metacognitive prompts and a partner-talk strategy, and interviews were conducted to assess the quality of participants’ probabilistic reasoning. The presentation will describe the study and its findings and discuss implications for research and practice.
