Emily received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drexel University and her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. Before joining the S.T.A.R. Initiative, Emily worked clinically as an occupational therapist in early intervention, pre-school, and outpatient mental health settings. Emily’s research interests include emotional regulation, sensation and perception in individuals with neurodevelopmental differences and post-secondary-school employment and unpaid work opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Clinically, Emily is interested in the implementation and utilization of psychological testing and assessment, as well as the infusion of inter-disciplinary practice into patient care.
In her time off, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, riding horses, and running long-distance races.
