Emily Madrak is an assistant professor in the Masters of Science, Athletic Training program in the department of Kinesiology. Before she came to UVA, she was an assistant professor of Athletic Training at Clarke University. Her research focuses on athletic trainer health, patient-centered outcomes, and cultural competence in athletic training. She received her PhD from Oklahoma State University, while teaching within their Masters of Athletic Training program.
Emily is a certified and licensed athletic trainer. Before becoming an educator, Emily worked clinically, as an athletic trainer at Bucknell University with their swimming and diving and women's lacrosse teams.
