Detajha Woodson is a Program & Outreach Associate for Youth-Nex’s Remaking Middle School Initiative, where she drives successful delivery of projects and programs through project management, fostering relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, and designing new approaches for young adolescent teaching and learning, alongside enhancing and scaling effective existing practices in the middle grades.
Detajha’s professional background in education traces back to the time that she spent as a Site Coordinator for Communities In Schools and a case manager for City Year. Both organizations are education non-profits. In these roles, Detajha supported students grades PreK- 8 by planning whole school events, providing academic support, behavior management, attendance monitoring, other school-based interventions, as well as resources for families in need of social services.
